NIKE / RUN TOGETHER WOMEN’S MARATHON
The Nike Women's Marathon in San Francisco became one of the most culturally resonant events in the history of women's sport. More than a race, it was an annual pilgrimage that drew tens of thousands of women from around the world to the streets of San Francisco each fall, united by movement, community, and a cause worth running for.
As Creative Director on this engagement, I led the development of a complete brand world for the event, from the "Run Together" campaign platform and identity system down to every touchpoint a runner would encounter across the entire experience. The work spanned outdoor and street-level advertising, environmental and experiential design including the Union Square race village and Niketown San Francisco takeover, apparel and merchandise collections, race collateral, course maps, and runner bibs. The visual language, centered on a floral silhouette motif that balanced femininity with athletic energy, carried consistently from a 40-foot billboard to a Tiffany and Co. sterling silver finisher's necklace, presented by a San Francisco firefighter in a tuxedo, one of the most beloved traditions of the entire event.
This was brand world-building at full scale. A single cohesive creative vision expressed across every surface, space, and object a participant would touch, wear, and carry with them long after crossing the finish line.
