Alchemē Health

REBELLIOUS HEALTH FOR VIBRANT LIVING

ALCHEMĒ Health is a San Diego-based integrative medical spa that I helped build from the ground up alongside founder Tracy Younger, serving as Design & Creative Director and a quiet strategic partner in shaping the overall brand concept. I developed the entire identity system from the name, logo, and treatment marks to the color palette, tagline ("Rebellious Health for Vibrant Living"), and the brand voice that gives ALCHEMĒ its signature mix of clinical credibility and irreverent attitude. The goal was to create something that felt nothing like a typical medspa: clean and modern, but with edge, personality, and a point of view that would cut through a crowded wellness market in coastal San Diego.

The centerpiece of the brand experience is the "Periodic Table of Vibrant Living," an IV drip and functional wellness wall I conceptualized that reimagines the classic periodic table as a playful, interactive menu of nutrient cocktails and vitamin injections, each with cheeky song titles/ functional names like "The Electric Child" and "The Booze Gypsy." The installation became ALCHEMĒ's most recognizable design element, earning a Forbes nod as one of the "Most Instagrammable Spaces" and serving simultaneously as a service display, an environmental art piece, and an organic social media engine. It captures exactly what the brand is about: real health science made accessible, fun, and a little rebellious.

I also directed the interior design vision across all three of ALCHEMĒ's locations, collaborating closely with a local interior designer to translate the brand identity into physical space. The original Little Italy flagship was housed in a renovated warehouse and featured a cross-functional layout that blended treatment rooms, a wellness retail boutique, and a superfoods café. The second location at One Paseo in Del Mar was designed for a more upscale mixed-use context, where the press noted that "the design is an amenity" unto itself. The newest La Jolla storefront, which opened in 2025, brought the brand to Prospect Street with an immersive launch event that reinforced ALCHEMĒ's reputation for experiential, community-driven retail.

Beyond the visual and spatial work, I operated across multiple fronts, curating wellness brand partnerships to stock the retail experience, helping develop ALCHEMĒ's own branded skincare products, and shaping the cross-pollination strategy that made each location feel like a destination rather than a clinic. The breadth of the engagement brand identity, environmental design, product strategy, retail curation, and ongoing creative direction reflects the kind of embedded, multi-disciplinary partnership I bring to ventures where I believe in the vision.
